Now Showing: Two Exhibitions You Don’t Want to Miss

I’m thrilled to share that I currently have artwork featured in two exhibitions! If you’re in Chattanooga, I’d love for you to check them out while they’re still on view. I also had a marvelous adventure that I just had to share with you.

February 6 – March 3

Floral Variegations on a Theme at Society of Work

My piece She Lives In the Cosmos is part of Floral Variegations on a Theme, an exhibition at Society of Work’s new gallery space, the Velvet Lounge. The show brings together ten local artists exploring life’s dualities through floral imagery. It opened on February 6 and runs through March 3, 2025.

The opening reception had an intimate and charming aesthetic. I had the pleasure of connecting with fellow artists, all of whom displayed remarkable talent and kindness. Being in such inspiring company has been a true honor. and one I find often in the creative community of Chattanooga. I’m deeply grateful to Society of Work for this opportunity and am thoroughly impressed with their new gallery space.

If you haven’t visited yet, I highly recommend stopping by before the exhibition closes. It’s a beautifully curated collection that delves into the paradoxical nature of human experience through floral imagery.

February 7 – March

Walnut Branch Volume 3 Launch & Exhibition at ClearStory Arts

Another exciting update—I’m honored to have my piece Where Water and Stars Meet featured in Walnut Branch Magazine, Volume 3 on page 42! To celebrate the magazine’s launch, Walnut Branch has also curated an exhibition featuring selected works from the issue. The show opened at ClearStory Arts on February 7 and will be on display for another month or so.

Walnut Branch describes each issue as being “packed with stunning visual artwork, powerful poetry, and stories from local creators. It’s the perfect way to support the arts and stay connected to our community’s creative heartbeat.” I couldn’t agree more! I’m incredibly grateful to be part of this publication and exhibition, which bring together such a rich variety of creative voices and talents.

Adventures

First Friday Chattanooga Instagram Takeover

Also, I needed to tell y’all about an incredible opportunity I had to do a social media takeover for the Instagram account @First_Friday_Chatt! Over the course of three hours, I visited seven different galleries, taking in a crazy wide range of artwork and meeting some amazing local artists. It was fast paced and exhilarating to say the least! Chattanooga’s vibrant art scene was in full swing. If you missed it, you can still catch the full recap in their Instagram highlights!

Both of these shows celebrate the vibrancy of our local art scene, and I feel so lucky to be part of them. If you get the chance to visit either, let me know what you think! And if you’re interested in picking up a copy of Walnut Branch Volume 3, it’s a wonderful way to experience even more of the incredible talent our community has to offer.

Thank you to Society of Work, ClearStory Arts, @First_Friday_Chatt, and Walnut Branch Magazine for these amazing opportunities to share my work. And thank you to everyone who continues to support the arts—your enthusiasm and encouragement mean the world!

With All the Love,

Ashley
